🎯 Admission Eligibility & Exam Format
Marks Required for MBBS/BDS Admission:
To apply for medical or dental seats through NUMS, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- FSc (Pre-Medical) or Equivalent: At least 65% marks for MBBS and 60% marks for BDS.
- NUMS MDCAT Passing Score: Minimum 55% for MBBS and 50% for BDS.
Is NUMS MDCAT Easier than the National MDCAT?
The NUMS syllabus covers FSc-level Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English. Many students find the NUMS test to be more concept-focused and slightly easier than the national PMDC MDCAT (which is scheduled for mid-August 2026). However, because seats at the Army Medical College (AMC) are strictly limited, the competition remains highly intense.
Important Note: The entry test consists of two parts: Part A (150 academic subject questions) and Part B (50 mandatory psychological questions).
